The Golden Chipmunk was originally built as a private summer estate in 1928 and was converted to a resort in the early 1950's. It has evolved over the years into one of Wascott's premiere resorts with a restaurant, bar, modern and clean cabins for year around usage and a RV park for yearly or seasonal stays. There is plenty of room for boating, swimming, canoeing, fishing, hiking, horse shoes, or whatever you want! At night enjoy a campfire and hear the sounds of the wild.

Cranberry Lake is 183 acres, has a sandy bottom, creek and spring feed which makes it clear and clean. The lake starts a chain of lakes which includes the Cranberry Flowage and the Minong Flowage - 2100 acres of water! Fish from our docks or in a boat - there're plenty of walleyes, northerns, bass and large panfish for all.
